Usage Instructions

Assemble or Disassemble the Jig Saw Blade The switch of the tool must be in "OFF" and draw off the current source plug before assemble and disassemble the jig saw blade. Release the two fastening screws on the clamping block, insert the jig saw blade to the deepest place of reciprocating rod with letting the jig saw blade teeth face the front, conrm whether the contact is OK or not between the back
side margin of the jig saw blade and the reactor, and then screw the fastening screw to x the jig saw blade. It's OK to disassemble the jig saw blade in an opposite way through the above-said order.

  • Put on your eye protection. Although this is user-friendly tools it is still a power tool and blades can snap as wwell as cut material can fly up.
  • The metal base of the jighsaw is often called the "shoe". You'll start by positioning the tip of the shoe on top of th material you're cutting and facing the cut you want to begin making.
  • Note which side of the cut line you want to make your cut and palce th blade slightly away from wher you want to begin.
  • Firmly holding the grip, press the power button and begin your cut.
  • Apply gentle pressure when making cuts. Never force the blade. the motor and blade do all the work and forcing the cut can bind the saw and create a dangerous situation. With jigsaws, the blade is moving very fast in an up-and-down motion. If stressed with too much forward motion, the blade will span off completely. Be carefull.

CURVED CUT:

If you're making a curved cut, then follow the line regulating the speed of your cut by what the material will allow.

STRAIGHT CUT:

If a straight cut is what you're after, then you will need a guide for the saw to follow. Because the jigsaw blade is so small it can wander in the cut unless the saw is guided. The saw guide can be a straight piece of wood clamped at both ends onto the material being cut so as to precisely place the blade cut where it's required.

STRAIGHT CUT:

Another method to achieve an accurate straight cut isto use an accessory that typically comes with the jigsaw called a ripguide. Assuming the edge of your material is straight and you only need to cut a few inches from the edge, this works ne.

Once you complete the cut, let the blade come to rest and place the saw down.

TIPS:

Jig Saw Blades

You can have the best Jig Saw money can buy, but if you don't have the right blade you might as well try cutting the material with a butter knife. The blade does all the cutting and therefore knowing what blade to use for what material you are cutting is very important. Blades are classied by TPI or teeth per inch. The higher, TPI the smoother the cut. The lower the TPI, the faster the cut. Blade performance is also effected by the material the blade is made from.

High Speed Steel

  • Used for wood and light metal cutting

Bi-Metal

  • Also used for wood and light metal cutting.

Cobalt Steel

  • Tougher and lasts longer than Speed steel and Bi-Metal. Used for wood and metal.

Carbide Grit

  • Strictly used to cut masonry board.

Scrolling

  • Thinner than the regular jig saw blades and are used for tight turning cuts.

Bevel cutting

With the base tilted, you can make bevel cuts at any angle between 0° and 45° (left or right). Loosen the bolt on the back of the base with the hex wrench. Move the base so that the bolt is positioned in the center of the bevel slot in the base.

Adjust the Speed

The users can get different cutting speed from low to high through adjusting the adjusting speed switch from 1 to 6 according to different work because the rotating speed is kept constant even under load
condition.

If the users need to lock the switch, please press the self-locked button at the time of pressing the trigger, the tool will run continuously; press the trigger again and release it completely will make the tool under switch off condition.

Effective and Safe Cutting Methods

Open the tool, hinge the base plate to the table, move the tool forward slightly along the cutting line which has been marked in advance, please push slowly when cutting circular arc.

Aslant Cutting

It can cut aslant at any angle which is within 0 degree to 45 degree through using base plate, release the bolt of the tool base, move the base plate in order to make the bolt lies in the center of the cross shape slot. Adjust the base plate aslant to get the angle what the users want, screw the bolt to x the base plate.

Plastic Base Plate

Please use plastic base plate to avoid experiencing break of the sensitive surface when cutting decoration veneer board, plastics, etc., replace the base plate after disassembling four screws.

Safety Precautions Prior to Usage :

  • Don't force the cut as the blade may snap.
  • Jigsaws have a limitation as to thickness of material being cut. about 1½" is the limit for these saws. Beyond that the saw works too hot, can overheat and the blade wanders causing un-square cuts.
  • Jigsaw blades cut by pulling up. That means if you are cutting a material that has a nished side, say plastic laminate or paneling, you want to front side to be facing down.
  • Make sure the blade is always sharp. They are fairly cheap and make the saw work much better and easier.
  • Buy a saw with a variable speed feature. It makes all the difference in control of your cuts.
